For young athletes, the offseason can be one of the best times to build confidence, sharpen skills, and have fun competing without the pressure of a full game schedule.
That is exactly what the expanded 2026–27 youth programming at the Red Wings Performance Center – Fueled by Wegmans is designed to provide.
Beginning this fall, baseball and softball players ages 8U through 16U will have more opportunities to train inside the Red Wings Performance Center - Fueled by Wegmans. The schedule includes expanded hitting leagues, school break camps, home run derby competitions, special events, team training opportunities, and two free Community Hitting Days.
Five Youth Hitting League Options
Following the inaugural Hitting League season, the youth leagues are returning with expanded baseball and softball offerings.
Each league combines weekly HitTrax competition with personalized player analytics and measurable skill development in a fun, team-based setting...while players play in their favorite MLB Stadium! New leagues and timeframes have been added to give families more ways to fit training into a busy schedule.
Fall Youth Baseball Hitting League
October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, beginning around 10 a.m.
Youth Baseball Mini Hitting League

Holiday Youth Hitting League

Programming dates and times are subject to change.
More Ways to Train During School Breaks
The expanded schedule will also feature school break camps and signature events for young athletes.
These programs will combine training and skill development with unique competitions, including home run derby events. They will take place in a safe, structured, and supervised environment, giving players an enjoyable way to stay active while providing peace of mind for parents.
Additional camp and event details will be announced as registration opens.
Professional Technology Made Accessible
Youth participants will train using the same kinds of technology and equipment trusted by MLB’s future stars, including:
HitTrax game simulation with the ability to hit in all 30 Major League ballparks
Real-time performance analytics
Driveline Baseball development equipment
Bat-speed and plyometric training tools
High-performance pitching machines
Personalized performance reports
Live competitive leaderboards
Making these tools accessible to local players is central to the Performance Center’s mission.
“The Performance Center's most important mission is to democratize access to baseball development and the technology behind today's game,” said Morrie Silver II, Chief Innovation Officer for the Rochester Red Wings. “Too often, the best tools are only available to those who can afford them or happen to be in the right place. We want that to be different in Rochester. Whether someone dreams of becoming a player, a coach, or a front office executive, our responsibility is to make those opportunities more accessible and inspire the next generation to build something even greater for our Rochester community.”
That mission extends beyond developing players. By providing access to data and technology that can otherwise be difficult or prohibitively expensive to find, Rochester Community Baseball, Inc. also hopes to inspire future coaches, analysts, sports scientists, and front office executives.
Team Training Is Available, Too
Youth teams can reserve the Red Wings Performance Center for private practices, offseason workouts, tryouts, and team training sessions.
Every rental includes complimentary use of HitTrax, advanced player analytics, professional training equipment, and the facility’s state-of-the-art indoor training environment.
